Bromag 50

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

BROMAG 50 is a specially formulated powder containing Potassium Bromate as the active ingredient.  The carriers are Calcium Sulfate and Tricalcium Phosphate.

This blend is formulated so that when 1 gram of BROMAG 50 is added to 100 lbs. of flour, the potassium bromate equivalent will be slightly more than 10 parts per million.  Therefore, 5 grams of BROMAG 50 will be equivalent to 50 ppm in the flour.  In this diluted form there is an additional margin of safety as well as improved ease of handling and feeding.

USAGE

BROMAG 50 may be added directly into the flour using a small volumetric feeder. No pre-screening of this free flowing powder is necessary.

Exact levels of addition will vary somewhat under different conditions depending on the type of flour and more particularly on the market requirements.

As a rule many flour mills require the addition of 5 grams of BROMAG 50 which is equivalent to approximately 50 ppm in the flour.  Actual levels must be determined in any particular marketing region.

PACKING

Fiber drums with plastic liners; 125 lbs. net weight.

STORAGE

Store in a clean, cool, dry place in original sealed container.  Preferred storage conditions: 70°F or 21 degrees Celsius R.H.  Expected shelf life 12 months.
